It was very exciting to hear from someone related to Leona Dare. I do have the original photo of Leona Dare and if Carol will contact me I will discuss selling it to her. Please provide me with your email address.

My email address is: 4Baskets@gmail.com. Does this portrait have a date on it? Or place it was taken? I know she spent a number of years in Europe performing as well as the US.
She died in Spokane, WA on May 23, 1922, at age 64. A report of the famous accident where M George fell says he did die of his injuries.
I have copies of Leona's passport applications & she was born anywhere from 1854 to 1858. Her death certificate lists 1857 as her birth year.
I'm still trying to figure out her real name (Susan Stuart, Stewart, Adaline Stuart, Stewart) and place & date of birth. Not to mention her father & mother's real names. Even her brother's name changed from Meredith Leonard Stuart to Charles Stewart, and who knows what else. Show people, what can I say?
